1. Who we are

Debt Letter (“the App”) is a mobile application that helps users understand, plan and negotiate their personal debts through AI‑powered tools and form wizards.

2. Information we collect

• Account data (e‑mail, display name, profile photo if provided).
• Generated content you submit—debt amounts, hardship reasons, proposals, chat messages.
• Device & usage data (device model, OS version, crash logs, analytics events) collected via industry‑standard SDKs.
• Purchase and points data when you buy points through Apple / Google in‑app purchases.

3. How we use the data

• To generate debt‑negotiation letters, repayment plans and other AI content you request.
• To maintain your points balance and in‑app purchase history.
• To improve and secure the App, diagnose bugs and prevent fraud.
• To send optional push notifications (e.g. analysis ready, repayment reminders) if you enable them.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of contractual necessity (providing the services you request) and legitimate interests (improving the App, preventing abuse). Where required by law, we rely on your explicit consent, for example when enabling notifications or analytic cookies.

5. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

• Cloud service providers that host our servers and databases (all data encrypted in transit and at rest).
• Payment processors (Apple / Google) to fulfil purchases.
• Regulators or law‑enforcement agencies when legally compelled.

6. International transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S., your data will be transferred and processed there under applicable safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses for EEA users).

7. Data retention

We keep your account and generated letters until you delete them or close your account. Crash logs and analytics are retained for up to 24 months.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time from the in‑app Profile › Delete Data page or by e‑mailing CosmicRayDev@outlook.com. You can also opt out of analytics and push notifications in Settings › Privacy.

9. Changes to this policy

We’ll post any updates here and notify you in‑app or via e‑mail if they are material. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised policy.
